2014 Fantasy Baseball Daily Fix: June 25

Welcome to another edition of the daily fix. Draftsteet has been a terrific platform for us and it can be for you too. They offer three different types of games and they offer them at all types of financial levels for the gambling fan. Draftstreet has pick em’ games, salary caps, and snake drafts. You can play double up games, standard games, and some play in tournaments for huge money.

Personally, I like to play the double up challenges because they give you the best odds of winning. It allows you to use players that are going against each other to even out the odds some. The other games force you to be more precise and allow very little room for error. As we always do here at the fantasyfix, we will offer two lineups. The first lineup is the one I will use in tomorrow’s games and the second is a reasonable alternative at each position. Please keep in mind that you can always change your lineup almost up to game time.

Devin Mesoraco

6057

Edwin Jackson

Mesoraco has very quietly become one of the top ten catchers.

1B

Adam Laroche

6048

Marco Estrada

He is in the last year of a contract and playing for his baseball life.

2B

Jose Altuve

6606

Could he be the best second baseman in the American League?

3B

Casey McGehee

5552

A.J. Burnett

He is on pace to drive 100 runs.

SS

Starlin Castro

6424

Mat Latos

Where did all of this power suddenly come from.

OF

J.D. Martinez

5554

Joe Saunders

He’s patterned his swing after Miguel Cabrera.

OF

Matt Kemp

5425

James Shields

I simply can’t believe he is going for this cheap.

OF

Danny Santana

5427

Garrett Richards

He has been a breath of fresh air since his call up.

U

Jayson Werth

5199

Marco Estrada

This is another price I simply don’t understand.

SP

Henderson Alvarez

13924

Philadelphia Phillies

You have a successful pitcher against a struggling offense.

SP

Collin McHugh

16333

Atlanta Braves

He has been very successful and the Braves haven’t seen him.

SP

Hisashi Iwakuma

17449

Boston Red Sox

He has one of the lowest walk rates in all of baseball.

I make no promises with the alternative lineup. One of the great things about the salary cap game is that it forces you to scrimp in some areas and splurge in others. So, an alternative lineup might not keep you under budget unless you make allowances at other positions. Otherwise, enjoy it for your own entertainment.

Those line ups are poor at best… I play daily baseball and really can’t believe what I’m seeing here. You need to put in the research. You have a lot of lefty vs lefty . Who Exactly is Gonzalez? Really. Just a young prospect that can touch 100mph.. Top 5 prospect in all off baseball Last Year!!! This site loses all credibility to me.
