2016 Fantasy Baseball Draft GuideFantasy BaseballFix Audio

TheFantasyFix.com’s Fantasy Baseball Podcast, 2016 Episode 7: Pitching with Michael Salfino

Michael Salfino of the Wall Street Journal, Yahoo! Sports and the Breakfast Table Podcast with Scott Pianowski joins Alan on episode seven to discuss all things pitching. Michael shares his general thoughts on how and when to target starting pitching in fantasy baseball drafts. Whether or not draft strategy changes for pitchers that could potentially face innings limits. Salfino also discusses parts of his research process — how and when he uses a variety of data to analyze pitchers and how that translates to our game of fake baseball.

Alan and Michael continue to discuss overvalued and undervalued players at the starting pitcher position based on their current average draft positions (ADP). Finally, they add a few late-found targets or $1 pitchers to consider in your drafts, how to approach closers in your drafts and whether or not middle relievers have a place on your roster in non-holds leagues. Names discussed include, but are not limited to Luis Severino, Carlos Carrasco, Kevin Gausman, Jake Odorizzi, Marcus Stroman and Raisel Iglesias

That and more in  episode seven of TheFantasyFix.com’s 2016 Fantasy Baseball Podcast.
