2015-16 Fantasy Basketball: H2H League Top-200

I will admit right off the bat — and I’ve said this before — I hate 9-category leagues, because I hate turnovers as a category. It punishes the players who handle the ball the most and I’m really just not a fan of it, but the FantasyPros.com standard rankings are setup as H2H 9-cats, so what can ya do.

I even drafted a H2H 9-cat league recently (Here’s a recap of that industry draft) and honestly, I don’t even look at turnovers, if I turn out decent in them, cool, and if not, whatever. I know that is bad form, but I have ten leagues and only one has TOs as a category, so I really just can’t put those extra numbers in my mind, haha. Maybe I should have read Seth Klein’s piece on H2H categories strategy first.

So, this is my advanced warning that these head-to-head rankings are aimed more towards 8-categories, although if I was really close on two players, I glanced at their turnover numbers as a tie-breaker. In the next week or so, I will be adding in another Fix hoops writer or two’s rankings in to these for a Fix consensus.

Below are my H2H top-200 (the rankings update any time that I make an edit). You will see that you can view just the overall rankings or you can click the individual position tabs to see tiered positional rankings. Let me know in the comments or in the Fix NBA forums. Simply signing up for the Fix forums gains you free access to our Front Office (paid subscription content, mostly DFS related) that I know you’ll enjoy.

Where do you have George rated.

Are you unable to see the rankings above? Hopefully no issues there, but I have Paul George ranked 14th overall.

I may have missed him but where is wiggins?

I have him 87th right now. Sure drop in mins after playing 36 last year (39 post AS break), and really he’s just a DeMar DeRozan type right now, high points, not a lot else. Until he develops a 3pt shot or becomes an elite stls guy, he’s just decent for fantasy.

    Hi Zack,

I play 8 cat roto and have the first pick in the draft. Im huge on AD but without turnovers does Harden go up even further?

    What would you prefer?

    AD/Gobert/Bledsoe

    Harden/Griffin/Gobert

Who would you suggest for the best picks between the 15-20 range where i would have two picks. Thanks

      Hey TDog!

No mater the scoring setup, Anthony Davis is the no doubt number one pick. I know it’s nice to stat out with the assists and treys that Harden provides, but the Brow is on the verge of putting up numbers that have literally never happened before. He’s also going to be taking more three point shots this year, and he’s a roto legend regardless!

Since you said “the 15/20 range,” I am guessing this is a 10-team league? In shallower leagues, you go for the top players and sort the rest out as you go along, because there’s better replacement level available on your waiver wire throughout the season.

Anyways, I love Paul George, Bledsoe, Gobert, Oladipo and the Gasol bros to name a few. Our site’s consensus roto rankings should be out in the next day or two, so that should also help you see which players I value higher than they’re ranked in your draft room.

Lastly, be sure to read my roto strategy piece if you haven’t. It’s something I’m very proud of and feel it really gives you an idea of how to better draft to win in roto leagues: https://thefantasyfix.com/fantasy-basketball/2015-16-fantasy-basketball-rotisserie-draft-strategy/

      Good luck!
