Tuesday’s DFS NBA 2/18

Steph CurryThe NBA All Star break is finally over. The only thing that felt longer was the pregame to the actual All Star Game on Sunday. They were supposed to start at eight, but didn’t start till almost nine. What do you expect out of a league where a 7:00pm game actually starts at 7:11 though? Needless to say, I’m jacked up for NBA to be back. There’s only so much Olympics one man can watch. Here’s who I’m liking for tonight’s NBA games based off their prices.

$8,000 – Max Salary

Chris Paul (PG – $9,000) had a monster game against the Trail Blazers just before the All Star break and played 39 minutes. This and the fact he played real minutes in the ASG should keep us from worrying about his health. He’ll play regular minutes tonight against the Spurs, so I think his price is a major discount. CP3 has only played the Spurs once this season, but he was great in it. His stat line of 23/8/7/4 would be great to have tonight.

Blake Griffin (PF/C – $10,400) is balling like a big shot right now. He has five straight games of 50+ fantasy points with the last two having CP3 by his side. In those two games, he recorded double doubles and averaged 31 real points. Right now, he’s on another level of scoring. Against the Spurs, he hasn’t been that great averaging just 35 fantasy points in two games, but that was the old Griffin.

Goran Dragic (PG – $8,400) is the same price as Kyrie Irving on DraftKings, but I’m going to go against the grain here. I think Kyrie does well against the 76ers, but Dragic also has a great matchup. It is possible that he’ll be going up against an injured Ty Lawson tonight in Denver. Dragic is a scoring machine right now, scoring 20+ in seven of the last eight games. One big reason why is his ability to get to the free throw line. He’s done that at least five times in eight straight games.

$6,000 – $7,900

Michael Carter-Williams (PG – $7,900) has been playing starter minutes even in blowouts, so he’s really the only Philly player that you can play without worry. Tonight against the Cavs, you shouldn’t expect a blowout, but a matchup that should help MCW get 40+ fantasy points. His potential is always high because of the way he fills the stat sheet. Before the ASB, he was starting to shoot better (14-31). MCW is averaging 46 fantasy points in three games against the Cavs this season.

Jamal Crawford (PG/SG – $6,500) is another Clippers player that I love tonight against the Spurs. Crawford should be starting again tonight with Redick out, so keep rolling him out there for this price. In his last four games he has been a 30+ fantasy point guy. This shouldn’t change tonight as he goes up against the Spurs, a team he average 34 fantasy points against in two contests.

Tim Duncan (PF/C – $7,800) has been a great play recently as long as he gets the minutes. Well, he’ll get his minutes tonight against the Clippers in what should be a close game the whole way through. In two games against them this season, he’s averaging 18/11/4 and 43 fantasy points. Duncan has been a 35+ fantasy point guy in eight of his last ten games.

Dirk Nowitzki (PF/C – $7,500) should have a field day against the Heat tonight as long as he’s not limited. He sprained his ankle before the break and barely played in the ASG, so there is some reason to be concerned. I think that he was smart about it and rested up. This makes me believe that there is no one on the Heat with the defensive ability to stop him tonight. This was evident in the only matchup of the season so far. In that game, he scored 28 points and added six rebounds and three assists.

$4,500 – $5,900

Courtney Lee (SG/SF – $4,500) has been a very good play since the Tony Allen injury, but does anyone know if Allen is out tonight? I can’t find anything anywhere on the matter, so beware of this situation. Mike Conley is back tonight for the Grizzlies, but that shouldn’t hurt him at all with the way he has been playing. He’s a lock for 20+ fantasy points as we’ve seen him do that in eight straight games. His upside isn’t quite there though. He’s eclipsed 30 fantasy points just twice in those eight games.

Ersan Ilyasova (SF/PF – $4,700) is never a guy I’m proud to write about, but tonight there is reason to like him. Larry Sanders is out for tonight while Ekpe Udoh is questionable. John Henson is probable to play, but that doesn’t hurt Ersan. He has a nice price and has actually been playing well recently. Ersan has recorded eight rebounds or more in four straight games. Because of this and some scoring, he has put up 26+ fantasy points in four straight games. Against the Magic earlier this season, he averaged one fantasy point per minute.

The Rest

Kyle Singler (SG/SF – $3,900) has been one Pistons player that has played huge minutes recently. He has done well with those minutes putting up 20+ fantasy points in three of his last four games. Against the Bobcats tonight, I expect more of the same considering he brought home 20 fantasy points in 25 minutes against them earlier this season.

Caron Butler (SG/SF – $3,300) needs to be considered tonight if he gets the start against the Magic. He has played very well against the Magic this season averaging 20 real points and 32 fantasy points in two games. It’s unsure as to who will start at the three, but it should be between Butler/Middleton/Giannis. His price is so low that if he starts it wouldn’t be a bad gamble to use him.
