Wednesday’s DFS NBA 2/26

Like most Wednesdays, we’re given a ton of games to choose from. Tonight we have ten games with plenty of teams playing on back-to-backs. With that many games tonight, we have seven players at 9k or more on DraftKings to decide on. I’m ready to forget yesterday’s action and look at tonight’s picks.

$8,000 – Max Salary

Anthony Davis (PF/C – $9,500) has some sweet numbers against the Mavs and tonight that’s just who he faces. In two games, Davis is averaging 51 fantasy points. He has been a consistent 43+ player in his last four games. The Mavs pose a great matchup for him because of his rebounding skills and blockability. He has taken 16+ shots in each of his last three games and as long as that happens again then he should be coming close to his average.

Joakim Noah (PF/C – $8,600) is doing something that he usually doesn’t do: score. In his last two games, he has put up 20 points in each. He’s shooting 16 for 24 in those two games and could see more action against the Warriors tonight. He has three straight double doubles, but has seen his assists go down. This isn’t too surprising considering how he is scoring lately. Against the Warriors and their banged up, but returning big men, I think he’s safe for another 40+ point night.

$6,000 – $7,900

Mike Conley (PG – $6,900) finds himself under 7k again, so I find myself taking the bait once again. His recent game totals aren’t too exciting as he’s only averaging 29 fantasy points in his last three games. Facing the Clippers had a negative affect on his averages. Tonight against the Lakers though, he has a better matchup and it’s against a team that played a high scoring game last night. For this price, I find it hard to pass him up tonight.

Victor Oladipo (PG/SG – $6,200) faces off against the 76ers tonight, a team that he has been a monster against this season. He is averaging 50 fantasy points in 46 minutes per game. Those averages are tough to expect considering the high volume of minutes he has played against them, but it’s not crazy to expect 40 fantasy points against the 76ers. Their high tempo and terrible offense has created many high fantasy totals.

Nikola Vucevic (PF/C – $7,400) has been a double double machine and is averaging 13 and 10 on the season for the Magic. Tonight he faces that great 76ers matchup. He has already crushed them once this season (21/16/5/1/3) and should be in line for another great game with Hawes gone. He only played 31 minutes in his last game, so he should be fresh enough to play full minutes and do it well.

Thadeus Young (SF/PF – $7,600) is reaping the benefits of not a whole lot of talent now on the 76ers. Young has taken an amazing 48 shots in his last two games and subsequently put up 58 points and 126 fantasy points. He is doing a bit of everything right now including assisting and stealing. Young faces a Magic team that is pretty small with Glen Davis’ big body no longer roaming the court. You would be crazy not to play Young tonight with how he is playing and his matchup.

$4,500 – $5,900

Andrew Bogut (C – $4,800) only played 29 minutes in his return from the shoulder injury, but with the day off should be able to play more tonight against the Bulls. His matchup isn’t that great, but the potential is big at this price. Before getting hurt, Bogut had a 55 and 44 point night. He only took five shots in his last game, which should change with more minutes and more comfort with the shoulder injury.

The Rest

Kyle Singler (SG/SF – $4,200) is somehow a relevant fantasy player in the DFS world right now. He is doing very well for his price in his last five games hovering around the 4k mark and producing 25 fantasy points a game. One of the advantages of using Singler is his usage. He has played 30+ minutes in nine of his last ten games. That’s comforting news for us fantasy players.

Elton Brand (PF/C – $3,700) is making old basketball players around the world look bad with the way he has been playing. In his last five games, he is averaging 8/9/1 and playing 35 minutes a game. Those are great numbers and ones that the Hawks were not expecting. Injuries have crushed the Hawks and Brand has been the main benefactor mainly because he has been healthy. Yes, he’s an older player playing on a back-to-back, but the Hawks have no one else to use. Look for Brand and even Mike Scott to continue to get solid minutes tonight for cheap.
