Wednesday’s DFS NBA 3/5

Wednesday’s NBA action is more entertaining for me with better games. There are some great matchups and even a few that should be highly owned. Ten games are on the schedule for the night with two games on ESPN. Perfect night if you ask me!

Guards

Rajon Rondo is a perfect play tonight with his above average price and recent performances. He has double-digit performances in five straight games, which has resulted in four double doubles. Tonight against the Warriors he’ll probably be matched up with Curry or Iggy. If it’s Curry then you’ll wait massive exposure to Rondo. If it’s Iggy then tone it down a notch, but don’t get too worried about the once fantastic defender. Rondo should be great in a higher tempo game than usual for the Celtics.

Gordon Hayward has 17+ real points in four straight games and because of it, he’s putting up large amounts of fantasy points. His matchup against the Wizards is a solid one and he should continue to shoot 13-15 times a night. He has four 40+ fantasy point performances in his last ten games.

Forwards

Jeff Green is a guy I rarely put on my list, but he’s playing very well right now. He deserves some recognition for his 21+ points in four of his last five games. He faces the Warriors tonight and their high tempo game play. This helped Green put up 24/11/2 when these two teams met earlier in the season. With Rondo being able to dissect the Warriors defense, Green should be one of the biggest benefactors.

Obvious play alert! Kevin Love should continue beasting tonight against the Knicks. This Knicks team just gave up 26 rebounds to Andre Drummond and although Love isn’t the same kind of rebounder, he is averaging 13 a game. He has put up huge numbers against the Knicks this season, in their one game he went for 34/15/5. In his last five games, Love is averaging 31/13/6/1.

Terrence Jones has started to see more minutes in his last two games and therefore has put up big numbers. He has played 35 and 32 minutes in his last two games and his results have been much better. He’s averaging 20/11/1 in those games. This has caused high 30s point totals in fantasy. Against Orlando, I could easily see him put up another double double.

Centers

Andre Drummond certainly deserves to be on this list with his recent performances. The Bulls present a semi-difficult matchup, but with the way he’s rebounding I’m not sure anyone can stop him. He’s even scoring better than his average lately. In his last three games he has put up numbers of 26/17, 16/17, and 16/17. Also, he has added two blocks and two steals on average. Drummond is red hot and is well worth the play tonight.

Elton Brand has continued to see big minutes even though he’s old as dirt. He has played 30+ minutes in four straight games and in six of his last seven games. In Brand’s last four games, he has averaged 8/8/3/1/3 for the Hawks. With Antic, Millsap, and Horford being out, Brand has had to step up and so far he has done that very well.
