2011 Fantasy Football Week 7 Tight End Rankings: Brandon Pettigrew Being Targeted

1) JIMMY GRAHAM (IND)- Graham is about as safe a bet as any in my weekly TE rankings. The inconsistency of the Saints receivers has lead to Graham being the NFL's TE leader in receptions and yards this year. Plug him in every week and watch the points add up.

2) BRANDON PETTIGREW (ATL)- Pettigrew scored a TD last week as he saw a team high 14 targets from QB Matt Stafford. The Falcons pass defense has not been able to stop anyone this year so I am expecting another nice showing for Brandon.

3) JERMICHAEL FINLEY (@MIN)- Potential keeps Finley in the top five rankings again this week as he plays in the NFL’s most potent passing attacks. Last week was one of his worst stat lines in his young career so I am expecting a bounce back this week in Minnesota.

4) JASON WITTEN (STL)- Witten draws a tough match this week as the Rams lead the league in shutting down opposing teams TE's. My gut feeling though is that the Cowboys will take out their early season frustrations on the hapless Rams and there will be scoring chances a plenty for Witten and company.

5) OWEN DANIELS (@TEN)- Daniels who is coming off a rough outing versus the Ravens will try to get back on track against a Titans team who have had trouble stopping the opposing teams TE’s this year. In the last two games Tennessee has given up three TD’s to opposing TE’s. Daniels is a TE1 this week.

6) TONY GONZALEZ (@DET)- Gonzo didn't get many chances last week as the Falcons used their running game to defeat the Panthers. This week has the makings of a possible shoot out in Detroit so I am liking Gonzalez's chances for a better week this week at Ford Field.

7) FRED DAVIS (@CAR)- Davis has enjoyed a breakout year so far as he ranks as the second leading TE with 15.6 yards per catch. With Chris Cooley out for an extended period of time Davis should receive chances aplenty in this offense. Lets just hope new QB John Beck is on the same page with Freddy.

8) BENJAMIN WATSON (SEA)- Watson is second on the Browns in receptions and yards while being tied for the team lead in touchdowns. Seattle has given up quite a few yards this year to opposing TE’s but not many touchdowns. Mark Watson down for at least one score this week and 70 yards receiving as the dawg pound goes crazy.

9) GREG OLSEN (WASH)- Keep an eye on Olsen's status this week as he appeared out of nowhere on the injury report with turf toe. Olsen is QB Cam Newton's number one red zone favorite and is a viable play each week when healthy.

10) ANTONIO GATES (@NYJ)- Gates practiced yesterday and is hopeful to play this weekend in NY. He has not played since week two so it is pretty tough to gauge just how effective he will be if he is able to go. Watch the Sunday updates closely to see if he will start if so plug him in your lineup.

11) KELLEN WINSLOW (CHI)- This is the week that Winslow should break out out his season long slump as he faces a very porous Bears pass defense. The Bears pass defense have given up a total of nine TD's in six games and five to opposing TE's.

12) DUSTIN KELLER (SD)- Keller was left wide open in the end zone on  the Jet's first red zone possession last week but Mark Sanchez did not see him. Never the less Keller posted a decent game and still remains Sanchez's safety valve on a weekly basis. I see the Jets staying conservative this week with short passes and dump offs so a decent week again is in the cards for Keller.

13) JEREMY SHOCKEY
14) JARED COOK
15) ED DICKSON
16) DALLAS CLARK
17) KEVIN BOSS
18) TODD HEAP
19) HEATH MILLER
20) VISANTHE SHIANCOE
21) MARCEDES LEWIS
22) LANCE KENDRICKS
23) EVAN MOORE
24) ZACH MILLER
