2015-16 Fantasy Football: DFS Running Backs for League Championship Weekend

Welcome to the league-championship round of the 2015 NFL Playoffs. With only two games this week it may be hard to find quality running backs, but I’m here to give you my favorite picks this week to play at DraftKings.

Jonathan Stewart – $5,900 vs. Arizona – David Johnson was very highly owned last weekend, so I won’t recommend him here, which makes Stewart my priciest recommendation. Stewart is mostly a cash game play, as he’s scored in double-digits in nine of his last 10 games. He’s scored nine times in that span and four times in his last three games. But the somewhat tough matchup and Cam Newton will possibly cap his upside.

James White – $4,600 at Denver – Neither White nor Steven Jackson did much last weekend, but according to ESPN’s Mike Reis, White out-snapped Jackson 42 to 17. White still had 39 receiving yards on just two catches, and I think regardless of game flow White will be heavily involved this week. The Patriots will want to score as much as they can even if they’re already winning heavily, and I think White will benefit from that outlook.

C.J. Anderson – $4,400 vs. New England – Anderson just out-touched Ronnie Hillman 17 to 16 in Denver’s win over Pittsburgh, but Anderson gained 83 total yards (72 rush, 11 receiving) to Hillman’s measly 38. They both had a chance to score, but Anderson made it in to the endzone. That performance should bode well for this weekend as Anderson is averaging 6.1 yards a carry in his last 10 games with six scores. The Broncos should continue to rely on the running game like they did last weekend, so Anderson should be in for another large workload.
