2015 Fantasy Football: Week 2 Rankings

Week 1 of the 2015 NFL season is in the books. Marcus Mariota, Alex Smith and Carson Palmer finished among the top five quarterbacks in the Y! games, something we all expected, right? Julio Jones finished at week one’s top receiver, which isn’t out of the ordinary, but James Jones did finish in the top five after recently signing back in Green Bay which caught some by surprise — although, knowing his history with Aaron Rodgers, we should’ve been more bullish on him. Carlos Hyde, Chris Ivory, Bishop Sankey and Danny Woodhead each finished in the top five among PPR ball carriers, while backs like Adrian Peterson, LeSean McCoy and Demarco Murray failed to meet expectations. And the tight end position looks somewhat deep after week one, with eight players scoring 15 or more fantasy points in points-per-receptions formats. Tyler Eifert and Austin Seferian-Jenkings were two of the bunch that exceeded projections and jumped in ownership levels during last evening’s waiver wire.

Most importantly, we’re starting to get a better idea about how teams will be using their personnel in various situations, providing analysts like ourselves the opportunity to provide the most accurate ranks possible for said players. With that said, here’s a look at our consensus Week 2 rankings:
