Ubaldo Jimenez returned to the Rockies rotation. After a rough first inning (4 earned runs) Jimenez settled down allowing just two hits, and no runs, while striking out five.

Carlos Beltran homered giving him three for the season. It’ll be interesting to see if any stolen bases come as his surgically repaired knees get healthier.

Roy Halladay had his first rough outing of the season. Through 6.2 innings, Halladay gave up 10 hits and six earned runs against the Brewers. Don’t worry Halladay owners; the Phils head to Petco Park for Halladay’s next start expect a no hitter… Or close to it.

Ryan Roberts of the Diamondbacks continues his hot start this season hitting 2 home runs Tuesday. It may be safe to say that Melvin Mora may no longer be the starting third baseman for the D-Backs

James Shields was stellar Tuesday pitching a complete game. Shields gave up only one run while striking out nine White Sox. Alex Gordon stole two bags Tuesday. Gordon was 2-4 at the plate with a RBI. So far he is the waiver wire MVP of 2011.

The Yankees used Ivan Nova in relief after the great Mariano Rivera blew his first lead this season. Nova only threw 14 pitches so I doubt this will affect his next scheduled start.

Brian Roberts is showing that he’s healthy this season. After Tuesdays game Roberts is hitting .275 with 3 home runs, 14 RBI and a stolen base.

John Lackey finally gave the Red Sox a good outing. He pitched six innings giving up one run on four hits with three strikeouts. Lackey, however, was outdueled by Brett Anderson who went eight innings of shutout ball while striking out eight. The big knock on Anderson was that he does not strike people out, but through four starts this season he has 21 K’s.

Chone Figgins actually had a good game going 3-4 with three RBI and a stolen base.

Reds OF Jonny Gomes stole his third base of the season Tuesday. Gomes now has more stolen bases than Carl Crawford, Starlin Castro, and Rickie Weeks
