Daily Fantasy Hockey: DraftKings Value Picks, November 27th

The Fix always has a full breakdown of significant NHL slates for our Front Office subscribers, but now we’re also going to be highlighting a few value plays for everyone on most days with big NHL slates. Below you’ll find three or four players who are cheap and undervalued in today’s DraftKings contests.

If you’d like to read our full breakdown of tonight’s slate, complete with player rankings, you can become a Front Office member or purchase today’s breakdown individually right here.

Michael Stone—D—Arizona Coyotes–$3600

I love everything about Michael Stone tonight. The 25-year-old only has seven points (2G, 5A) this season, but he’s playing alongside Oliver-Ekman Larsson and is seeing power play time on the second unit. He’s currently on a mini two-game point streak and a matchup against the Flames only adds to his value tonight. Most of us will be trying to get Patrick Kane and Jamie Benn into our lineups, so you’ll need some value plays to help fit those big boys in. If paying for OEL isn’t possible, plug in Stone and let the good time rolls.

Sven Andrighetto—RW—Montreal Canadiens–$2500

Due to DraftKings inability to keep up with current NHL trends, Devante Smith-Pelly is not an option tonight because he’s not in the player pool. Despite that, Montreal has some value plays that I would definitely consider, including Sven Andrighetto. The 22-year-old will be making his third appearance of the season tonight on the second line with Alex Galchenyuk and Lars Eller. He only saw 12 minutes of ice time in Wednesday’s win over New York but still found a way to net his first goal of the season. At minimum price, I’m willing to take a risk on the Swiss native, despite having a tough matchup on the road against a very good Devils team. The second line is starting to heat up, so cash in on Sven now while you still have the chance.

Teemu Pulkkinen—RW—Detroit Red Wings–$3100

If I had to pick one team to stack today, the Red Wings would be my team of choice. Cam Talbot will get the call tonight for Edmonton, meaning all top nine forwards are worth a look. The forward with the best value in my mind is Teemu Pulkkinen. The 23-year-old has 11 points (6G, 5A) in 21 games and is currently riding a two game point streak (1G, 2A). He’s playing on a line with Brad Richards and Pavel Datsyuk and is averaging almost two minutes of power play time per game. The Oilers have very little depth on the blue line and Detroit should be able to score at least three goals in this game. If you don’t want to pay up for some of the bigger names, Pulkkinen offers a high upside at an affordable price.
