The Games:

Detroit  Red Wings @ Chicago Blackhawks:

The Red Wings are fading fast after having seen their captain Henrik Zetterberg land himself on season-ending injured reserve. Detroit is now six points out of third place in the Atlantic Division, a spot shared by the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning. The Wings now travel to Chicago to face their old Original Six nemesis, the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks are sputtering though as of late, as they have lost two straight and five of their last eight. The Wings unfortunately, due to injuries, are running into a buzzsaw matchup for their top healthy player Johan Franzen (who has been absolutely on fire lately). His line will see a lot of the Jonathan Toews line so scoring will likely come from other spots in this one.

For the Wings, I love a super cheap Draft Street line stack of Justin AbdelkaderRiley SheahanTomas TatarThat line should absolutely be good for at least one goal, if not more. For the Blackhawks, I’m going to rolling the dice on Marian Hossawho is back in the fold most likely tonight after missing a few games due to injury. You guys definitely want some exposure to that top line for Chicago, and also Andrew Shaw

Montreal Canadiens @ Buffalo Sabres:

This could become a letdown game for the Canadiens and Peter Budaj but I’d rather not get cute tonight. Budaj is the obvious start in goal tonight, and he should be 100% owned. Tonight I’m getting exposure to Max Pacioretty, P.K. Subban, Andrei Markov and Daniel Briere who is just $3,284 — super cheap, and only 3.28% of the Salary Cap.

If you do want to get cute, rolling out Tyler Ennis and Drew Stafford could be a fruitful contrarian play, but otherwise Montreal should cruise to a win here.

Dallas Stars @ Winnipeg Jets:

I’m going to fade Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin tonight, because I like to fly by the seat of my pants. In fact, I do want exposure to Bryan Little, Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler tonight for Winnipeg. I think they could be in for a big game. I’m mostly fading this game, although it could be a big total, so don’t overlook it if you like to play multiple lineups. Jacob Trouba has cooled down lately, but he’s super cheap at just $6,000-ish.

Good luck tonight! Hope to see you on Draft Street with me.
