2011 Fantasy Baseball’s Daily Fix: Dodgers Go With Closer By Committee

For those of you who do not know, the Playstation Network Server has been hacked and nonoperational since last Thursday. This is hampering my ability to watch MLB.tv on the PS3. Now I have to watch games on my computer, which is no good. Dang it Sony get your stuff together. Sorry about that I just felt like venting.

Andre Ethier continues to swing a hot bat. Ethier is riding a 23 game hitting streak. Although the power numbers are down a bit (2 HR, 14 RBI), it seems as though last season’s finger injury is no longer bothering him.

Grady Sizemore was caught stealing Tuesday. The good news here is that it seems the Tribe has taken the training wheels off and has given Sizemore a green light on the base paths.

Jonathan Broxton is out as the sole closer in LA. The Dodgers are now going with a bullpen by committee, but withHong-Chi Kuo still on the DL, for now saves will seemingly be split between Broxton, Vicente Padilla, and Matt Guerrier

Sticky hands Mike Leake had the bullpen blow a good start. Leake went seven innings giving up two earned runs and striking out six.

Rookie Zach Britton continued his stellar start of the season pitching 6 innings of one run ball against the Red Sox.

About a month ago I thought Brad Hawpe may be this year’s Aubrey Huff. Boy was I wrong.

Mitchell Boggs blew his first save chance since taking over the closer role from Ryan Franklin

If you read the Fantasy Fix Start em Sit em article and started Adam Lind and Todd Helton they repaid you Tuesday with four home runs and seven RBI.

For the second day in a row a D-Backs pitcher out-pitched one of the Fantastic Four in the Phillies rotation. This time it was Daniel Hudson. Hudson (6 IP 3 ER 6K ), outdueled Roy Oswalt (3 IP 5 ER 0 K).

Justin Smoak hit his third home run of the season. He is definitely someone to keep an eye on.
