6 Biggest Fantasy Flops of 2011: A Quick Rundown

Picture

Before the football season begins, thousands of people sign up to play in a fantasy football league. You find a fantasy league online, at work, or among friends and draft the players you expect to perform. You might even watch the DIRECT TV Sunday Ticket to see how your players are competing week by week. However, sometimes, you have NFL fantasy players who really disappoint. Here are the six biggest fantasy flops of 2011.

1. Chris Johnson
This Tennessee Titans running back is averaging just over 2 yards per carry. He is getting enough touches. However, he is clearly not getting the job done. Johnson is a former all-pro running back; therefore, he needs to try to get back to form. He has a $50 million dollar contact, so the Titans are waiting for him to be worth the money.

2. Donovan McNabb
The Minnesota Vikings had big expectations for McNabb after the acquired him from Philadelphia. However, he only started six games, and then he was replaced for Christian Ponder. The team only won once during McNabb’s starts and threw for just over 1,000 yards.

3. Mike Williams
Williams has gained over 300 yards in 31 receptions for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He only has one touchdown and has not had a game of more than 75 yards. It looks as if there is a chemistry problem with quarterback Josh Freeman. If you have Williams on your fantasy team, it is time to let him go.

4. Jermichael Finley
Finley has been a let down for the Green Bay Packers. He does not have a game of more than 100 yards, and he has only scored four times. Aaron Rogers has several other receivers that he likes, so Finley has just average numbers. Week 3 has been the only highlight of this season, as he had 85 yards and scored three of his four touchdowns of the season.

5. Michael Vick
Vick has put up impressive numbers in some games this year. However, his inconsistency leaves fans scratching their head. He gets sacked several times per game, not to mention all of the interceptions.
 6. Reggie Wayne
It does not help that he does not have Peyton Manning throwing him passes, but Wayne has scored less than seven points for fantasy players in most of his games this season. He has not had more than 77 yards since week 1. People are now wondering if Peyton was the key to his success. It seems likely.
