Hope everyone was able to “dig in” and enjoy the start of the NFL season. Fighting back the crowds at Universal Studios Hollywood with the herd was a weird way to start my 2019 fantasy season. Trying to keep up to speed between rides by trolling Twitter/ESPN App for scoring/player updates was my jam… battery life wasn’t.

Fantasy dudes came out of the woodwork in Week One and all we have been hearing about is Brown, Brown, Brown…

Malcolm Brown (Rams / RB) 11 totes for 53 yards and 2 TDS
Marquise “Hollywood” Brown (Ravens / WR) 4 catches for 147 yards and 2 scores
John Brown (Bills / WR) 7 catches for 123 yards and 2 scores
AJ Brown (Titans / WR) 3 catches for 100 yards
and of course media darling, Antonio Brown with his antics…

We now have some counting stats and have seen one week of NFL action, this assists with adding clarity for weekly player rankings.

Every week I will highlight some “Sneaks” which are players I feel have the ability to shine given the opportunity. They are not top plays but options to consider if you are stuck or are looking for a DFS play to “Sneak” in. My Week 1 “Sneaks” were more like “Weak,” I must do a better job and apologize for tempting you with Jameis Winston, sigh.  Week one is hard to judge, week two should be easier (fingers crossed).

Three ‘Sneaks’ for your Week 2 Lineup

RB – Giovani Bernard (CIN)
Ownership: 32% ESPN, 16% Yahoo
62% of Snaps Played Week 1
Joe Mixon potentially could sit or have a lesser workload. If Mixon is out, I would fire up Bernard due to volume alone, especially in PPR formats. In the 4 games that Mixon has sat out over the past 2 seasons, Gio accumulated at least 19 combined rushes or targets in each. Big workload ahead.
The 49ers gave up an average of 5.1 yards per carry and 7 receptions to the Tampa Bay backfield in Week 1. Not sure if Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones II are that good.
DraftKings $5,300

WR – Mecole Hardman (KC)
Ownership: 17% ESPN, 16% Yahoo
78% of Snaps Played Week 1
21 year old Rookie – 2nd round pick out of Georgia (56th overall)
With Tyreek Hill out for the foreseeable future, someone needs to step up and fill his shoes. KC drafted Mecole high in the ’19 draft as they didn’t know where “The Freak” stood with his pending legal issues. Chiefs saw the rookie as a potential replacement pony.
Could this be the waiver wire snag of the first half??  Why not take a shot with this offensive juggernaut. DFS play for sure.
DraftKings $4,800

TE – Darren Waller (OAK)
Ownership: 27% ESPN, 46% Yahoo
100% of Snaps Played Week 1
The feature of Raiders offense week one and led team in targets.
8 targets good for 7 catches for 70 yards and 1 play for 25 yards.
Chiefs gave up three receiving touchdowns last week vs. Jacksonville
Oakland should be playing from behind and Waller will see a grip of opportunities to be the shot caller.
DraftKings $3,300
