I’m trying to locate the rest of your tiered position players, sp, rp rankings. Where do I locate them? Have you done them?
    Thanks.

Are you sure Rodney, Iglesias, Feliz and Benoit are clear?

      At this point, yes.

Remember, clear doesn’t mean the best option based on my opinion or the player’s skills. It’s based on what I think the team will do.

For Rodney, the D’backs have no other veteran options and I can see them installing him in the role in an attempt to build trade value for him. Arizona isn’t going anywhere this year so they are best served by attempting to get Rodney to build his trade value. Jon Heyman reported as much – https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/806362612699189252

As for Iglesias, perhaps murky is a better designation as Dick Williams said the role will be decided in Spring Training. I’ve updated the chart. https://twitter.com/ctrent/status/816396583323500544

Feliz – it’s about the contract. See the D’backs explanation and add in the Brewers are paying Feliz more money than Rodney. Unless Feliz blows up in the spring, he’s going to have the role on Opening Day. I think he’s a bad option in Milwaukee with his fly ball tendencies, but I think he’ll open as the closer though I could see Knebel having more saves than Feliz when the year is done.

For Benoit, I’m leaning on this report from Matt Breen – http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/sports/phillies/An-early-look-at-the-Phillies-opening-day-roster.html

With the Braves coach saying today that Winkler and Minter will also be used for saves do you think one of them will eventually be the closer? As for The Angels, why are you going with Johnson? Anderson got the first save opportunity.

Why is there a box around my pitcher? What does it mean? What’s in the box!?! What’s in the box!?!

The box is my attempt to denote the pitchers who I think are actually in the closer committee.
