Week fifteen in fantasy hockey is starting, and some players are emerging as must-own players in many leagues. Finding players on the waiver wire is essential to winning a fantasy hockey, and for replacing injured players, either for the short-team or long run. Let’s take a look at which players you should be targeting on the waiver wire this week

Joni Ortio | Calgary Flames | Yahoo! Ownership—12%

Is there a goalie controversy in Calgary? It’s too early to tell, but the Flames have decided to go with the hot hand, and that’s Ortio. The 23-year-old is 3-0-0 this season with a 1.33 goals against average (GAA) and a .953 save percentage (SV%). The sixth round pick in 2009 is showing he can play in the NHL and get the job done. It may just be temporary, but it’s been a challenge for fantasy owners to find goalies on the waiver wire. With so many goalies going down to injury, the Turku, Finland native is an excellent short-term solution. Jonas Hiller is still the starter, but we may see a time-share in Calgary moving forward. Grab Ortio where he’s still available.

Who I’d drop for him: James Reimer (14%), Carter Hutton (23%)

David Pastrnak | Boston Bruins | Yahoo! Ownership—20%

Welcome to the big show, kid. The Bruins have decided to keep their talented winger in the NHL, and he should provide fantasy owners with some very good value down the stretch. The 18-year-old has five points (4G, 1A) in ten games with a plus-5 rating and 28 shots on goal (SOG). The 25th overall pick in 2014 is currently playing on the top line with Milan Lucic and David Krejci and is seeing some time on the team’s second power play unit. He’s not going to take the league by storm, but the Czech Republic native is going to be someone the Bruins count on to contribute offensively, and he is going to be given the chance to do so every night. I would grab Pastrnak if he’s still available on the waiver wire before its too late.

Who I’d drop for him: Nail Yakopov (29%), Evgeny Kuznetsov (35%), Tomas Hertl (39%)

Anders Lee | New York Islanders | Yahoo! Ownership—3%

Not many people know who Lee is, but he’s starting to be a name fantasy owners might hear a lot about in the next few weeks. The 24-year-old has 17 points (12G, 5A) in 39 games with a plus-6 rating and 91 SOG. He’s already surpassed his points total from last year and is showing he can score goals on a regular basis. What’s most impressive is his goal scoring timing, as he’s tied for second in the NHL with five game winning goals. The Minnesota native is playing on the team’s second line with Ryan Strome and Frans Nielsen and is seeing power play time on the second unit. The Islanders are one of the better goal scoring teams in the league (4th in goals per game), so Lee will continue to see lots of opportunities to score goals. He’s an excellent add in deeper league formats.

Who I’d drop for him: Cody Hodgson (6%), Tyler Ennis (12%), Carl Hagelin (19%).
