Top streaming options owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues

Shelby Miller – Wednesday at Pittsburgh – OK, so Miller’s owned in 51 percent of leagues after his Friday-night gem, but I’m going to include him anyways because he needs to be owned in a lot more leagues. Miller shut down the seventh-ranked offense by OBP over seven innings, only allowing two base runners and striking out eight. He dominated in every facet of the game. Before Friday night’s game the Pirates’ .560 OPS versus righties was second worst in the majors.

A.J. Griffin – Tuesday vs. Houston – Griffin has two very good starts to begin the season, and he shut down the Angels Thursday night. The 25-year-old righty isn’t striking anyone out, but he’s also not walking anyone either. The ‘Stros are the fifth-most prone team to striking out against righties, and their seven walks against righties are easily the worst of any team.

Ross Detwiler – Wednesday vs. Miami – Detwiler shut down a very good Braves lineup Friday night, adding to his strong 2013 start. Just like Griffin he won’t strike out many batters, but he’s limiting hard contact and inducing ground balls at a high rate. Against such a weak lineup the Ks should come along with other solid stats.

Week 2 streamer stats – Griffin, Leake, Chacin: 3.78 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 7 K, 5 BB, 2 Wins, 1 Quality Start.
