2014 Fantasy Baseball: Changes in Value When SLG Replaces HR
If your league uses non-standard roto categories, you can’t rely on rankings and auction values from a website or magazine. And if you’re drafting online, you can’t rely on the order in which players are listed in the draft room. Almost all of those rankings are drawn up with the standard 5×5 roto categories in mind. Behind the pay wall I have a chart showing how the valuations/rankings change for the 242 hitters I have projected when slugging percentage replaces home runs. If you play in a league like this, make sure to alter your rankings or auction values accordingly. I recommend sorting by ‘$ SLG+’ below. For an explanation of the methodology, read this.
