2014 Fantasy Baseball Daily Fix: July 30
Welcome to Trade Deadline Eve here at the Fantasy Fix. I’m sure most fans have hopes for something underneath the trade deadline tree this year for their team. In daily fantasy sports, everyday can be Christmas if you are lucky enough. As most of you know, we started the year with Draftstreet, but they merged with Draftkings a couple of weeks ago. If you played with Draftstreet, you can easily transfer your balance over to Draftkings by clicking on the link above and following the directions.
Like most platforms, Draftkings allows you to make last second changes to your lineup and this might be one of those days where it is necessary. There are a number of players rumored to be on the move and if they do get moved, it could affect their availability come game time. Like last time, I will be playing in the one dollar double up game. This time, only players in games beginning at 6:05 CST or later will be eligible.
As per usual, I will give you two potential lineups to go with. The first one is the one I am actually using during tomorrow’s contest and the other are reasonable alternatives. I am also including the player’s average fantasy points per game since that is the primary consideration for picking those players.

He has been absolutely insane since the all-star break. |

This is a pretty low price for a fairly productive hitter. |

The FPPG is artificially low with his time in the pen. |
As always, there are sometimes some last second changes that need to be made. Sometimes you may think my initial choices are insane. Either way, I offer a reasonable alternative at each position for your consideration. Draftkings always lets you make changes almost up to game time, so make sure you keep tabs on the news throughout the day.

The Red Sox scratched Lester from today’s start after the article went to press. While that’s an indication of potential deal, it doesn’t necessarily mean one will be made. I’ve removed him from my lineup and advise everyone to do the same.
