In Daily Fantasy, as I alluded to earlier, there are guaranteed prize pool (GPP) contests and cash games (H2H and 50/50 etc.). Both of these formats require a different style of mindset. Obviously in GPP’s they usually only pay out the top 10 percent of the field, and in many cash games, half the people cash. This requires GPP’s to have a much higher upside lineup — which includes a cheap goalie, with hopes to strike it big. Cash games are about making safer plays.

With 12 games on the slate tonight, it’s about finding the right matchups. For GPP’s this means going with the Philadelphia Flyers against the Nashville Predators, in what will be Carter Hutton‘s “last hurrah” if you will — after they acquired Devan Dubnyk last night. Also, the San Jose Sharks are a good play tonight against the Tim Thomas led Florida Panthers.
