The Big Games:
Tampa Bay Lightning @ Ottawa Senators:
I’d target this game heavily. Steven Stamkos is always a near must-play even with a hefty price tag of $15,000. Sami Salo is an incredibly cheap option for less than $4k and J.T. Brown is a guy I’m also targeting tonight, as the Senators play horrid defense especially on the depth lines.
Ben Bishop is a nice contrarian play, but I’m worried that the Lightning will have a couple defensive breakdowns. If they do, look for Ales Hemsky to get in on that. But he’ll have a hefty minus rating tonight most likely, so staying away from him is probably the smart play.
Florida Panthers @ Phoenix Coyotes:
I am targeting Mike Smith in this game, as he’s my #1 goalie on the night. He’s worth a fade in GPP because of his price, if you want to go with Carey Price instead (who is $2k cheaper), but Smith is much safer. I love Antoine Vermette, Keith Yandle, Shane Doan, and Oliver Ekman-Larsson. This game should be 4-1 at least.
Dallas Stars @ Philadelphia Flyers:
I’m all over the Flyers tonight, especially that top line of Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell and Jakub Voracek. I believe that defenseman Kimmo Timonen is also in play, as is Mark Streit. Dallas superstars Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin are always in play for me, but I don’t know if I’m going to have many shares of him tonight. Ray Whitney is a sneaky cheap option, at just $4.8k. He’s getting top power-play time with the Stars.
My Lineup:
LW | Rob Klinkhammer (PHO-LW) | $4,869
LW | Scott Hartnell (PHI-LW) | $10,769
RW | J.T. Brown (TB-RW) | $4,269
RW | Jakub Voracek (PHI-RW) | $9,408 |
