Albert Pujols hit a walk-off bomb for the second time in as many days Sunday afternoon. While he still looks "off" at the plate, off for him is optimal capacity for most humans. He raised his average .12 points this weekend up to .278. 

Chad Billingsley didn't bring his best stuff to the mound (5 IP, 11 base runners, 4 ER), but he brought his A game to the batters box. He went 2/2 with a solo homer, RBI double and bases loaded walk, upping his season batting average to .304. 

Mark Teixeira went yard twice on Sunday as the Yankees took the rubber match in LA. "Tex" isn't getting many hits, but when he does make clean contact the ball isn't stopping in the field of play. He has six homers in his last ten games. 

C.J. Wilson threw 7 2/3 masterful innings, surrendering three hits and zero runs while striking out seven. He's whiffed 32 in his last four outings, all quality starts, lowering his ERA to 3.02. The Rangers swept the four-game set in Cleveland, pitching two shutouts and outscoring the Tribe 24-6. 

Brett Hayes blasted a grand slam in a losing effort Sunday, and now averages an RBI every 3.4 plate appearances (10 RBI/34 AB). He's on the wrong roster with "everyday" John Buck in his path to playing time, but he looks like he could be a productive backstop.  

Tyler Colvin, AKA captain 0'fer, is back in the bigs. He's 0-15 since being recalled and his .091 BA is stellar work. Perhaps he needs a return to Clemson to re-find his stroke. 

Newsflash to the national media: Allen Craig is hitting .340. Give the dude some love.

Ian Kinsler is 0-19 over his last five games. His 35 BB are the only thing making him a productive commodity right now (.345 OBP). His double play partner, Elvis Andrus, notched his third HR and 22 RBI of the year off Mitch Talbot. Andrus hit zero homers and drove in 35 all of last season. 

Carl Crawford has found his sea legs in Boston. Since a .155 April he's hitting .317 over a 33-game span. He blasted a 2nd inning three-run homer off left-hander Brett Anderson and drove in eight runs in the three game series. 

With Jonathan Papelbon unavailable, Daniel Bard recorded his 5th career save on eight pitches. 

Yes, Mark Reynolds hit his 9th homer of the season; but how long can a sub-200 hitter stick around the majors? His at-bats are terrifying to behold.  

After going 28 starts without a W, Jo-Jo Reyes pitched 6 1/3 solid innings in Baltimore to earn the victory in consecutive starts. 

Ryan Raburn smacked a grand slam for his first RBI's since May 9th. His 8:59 BB:K ratio isn't particularly handsome. 

Tyler Clippard struck out six Diamondbacks during a 2 1/3-inning relief stint. Not a bad effort from the herky jerky right-hander with a vulcan change-up. 

R.A. Dickey was masterful in the win over Tim Hudson & the Braves. Dickey pitched eight innings and gave up 1 run off 4 hits.
