Sunday’s DFS NBA Plays

Steph CurrySunday night’s action is limited because of two early games, but we still have six games to choose from. This is my favorite kind of night because there aren’t too many players to choose from. There’s also going to be more action with the Lakers, Timberwolves, Rockets, and Trail Blazers to choose from. Let’s get a look at who I’m targeting from each pricing area tonight on DraftKings.

$7,500 – Max Salary

Kevin Love (PF/C – $11,100) had one of his best games of the season last night recording a triple double. Against the Jazz, it seemed like a lock for a big night, but I’m not sure anyone expected 37/12/10. Tonight against the Trail Blazers, he’ll be facing a group of big men that is one All Star down. LaMarcus Aldridge is out tonight, which means Dorrell Wright or Thomas Robinson will have to start at the four. This should mean a Love-ly amount of rebounds for Love tonight.

Ricky Rubio (PG – $7,500) was somewhat disappointing last night, but he still managed 31 fantasy points. I don’t think Love does as much assisting tonight, so look for Rubio to facilitate the offense enough for ten dimes. Add in more shots lately and hopefully a hot streak of shooting and we have a very high chance of a double double tonight. Damian Lillard doesn’t have much of a defensive game, so Rubio is a very good play for me.

$6,000 – $7,400

Rudy Gay (SF/PF – $7,400) isn’t going to win you a GPP with a monster performance, but he’s been very consistent in his last four games and showed well in DeMarcus Cousin’s return last night. He scored 22 points and added seven rebounds. I’m curious to see how many minutes DMC gets tonight and can only see his upside increase. In his last four games, Gay has put up 32+ fantasy points including seven rebounds in each game.

Tobias Harris (SF/PF – $6,400) is a guy I like to get a lot of minutes and shots with Glen Davis off the Magic. He has three straight games of 30+ fantasy points and has increased his scoring total in each of his last four games. He had a day off to rest up from the 2OT game against the Knicks, so don’t expect any minutes restriction.

Robin Lopez (C – $6,200) will have to have another big game tonight against the Timberwolves due to Aldrige being out. In his last two games he has 34 and 47 fantasy points and has excelled without him. The Timberwolves could be without Nikola Pekovic again and if that happens then expect Love and Lopez to get all the rebounds.

$4,500 – $5,900

Andray Blatche (PF/C – $5,200) could have a really nice night against the Lakers even with Pau Gasol back. They have not been solid around the rim all season, so I expect him to have one of his best rebounding performances this month. He has 14 rebounds in his last two games and if he can get 28-32 minutes then I think he could easily get another seven or eight rebounds. Earlier in the season, Blatche played 26 minutes, but still ended with 14/8/3/2/2 and 36 fantasy points.

Jarrett Jack (PG/SG – $4,600) is not the best of options tonight, but if you’re in need of someone in this price range then I would strongly consider hi. He has played more minutes in his last two games with Dion Waiters tonight and he will have to play more again tonight because of Waiters’ injury. In his last two games, he has played 41 and 34 minutes. With that being the case, he has scored 54.5 fantasy points. Against the Wizards tonight, I like Jack to get at the very least another 20 fantasy points with mid 30s upside.

The Rest

Chase Budinger (SG/SF – $3,300) has not gotten the big minutes I was hoping for as a starter, but he’s still producing well with his mid 20s minutes. His only bad game since starting was against the Pacers. That bad performance isn’t surprising and is to be expect to be honest. He has put up 20+ fantasy points in the other four games and in those games is averaging 15 points a game.

Daunte Cunningham (PF/C – $3,600) is the fourth Timberwolves player on the list tonight, but with good reason. He’s another value play that should start as long as Pekoic is out again. In his last two games, he has put up 23 fantasy points. He should see 30+ minutes if he starts and will be against a Trail Blazers team that will be undersized with guys like Wright or Robinson playing the four.
