Monta Ellis to the Milwaukee Bucks & what it means for your Fantasy Squad
Fantasy-wise I could see this trade benefiting Stephen Jackson the most. While he hasn’t played in nearly a month due to what the team called a hamstring injury, it’s well known that he was in Coach Skiles’ doghouse since being suspended for a game in January. He could very well return to the court soon for the Warriors, and get big minutes.
Andrew Bogut is the piece the Warriors coveted, but he is still out with a broken ankle. If he can come back this season he should be able to contribute, but the likelihood of that happening is unknown.
It’s hard to see Monta Ellis’ value increasing as he was the focal point of the Warriors’ offense especially with Stephen Curry missing so much time with a bad ankle. Monta will revert back to playing a true shooting guard in Milwaukee as Brandon Jennings will still be the primary ball handler. While the Bucks acquired Ellis for his offensive capabilities, they are still a Scott Skiles team and will emphasize defense for Monta as he has yet to show consistency at that end of the floor.
Udoh’s fantasy value will probably take the biggest hit, as he was getting more and more minutes for Golden State, and producing while he was in. The Bucks have been without Bogut for some time, and Drew Gooden and Larry Sanders have filled in better than expected. It will be interesting to see what kind of run the young Udoh will receive.
It will be interesting to see how everyone’s daily values are adjusted on Daily Joust.
