Fantasy Basketball Daily Fix: NBA DFS Plays for February 8th

Steph CurrySaturday’s seven game slate is upon and I’m going to be right to the point today. No jibber jabber this weekend. Houston is an 11 point favorite tonight on the road against the Bucks, so beware of that. Some small spreads with high totals include Golden State/Phoenix, Denver/Detroit, and Portland/Minnesota. Those are the three games I would focus my lineups on tonight.

Point Guard

Ty Lawson had a solid game last night, but didn’t do what I thought he would against the Knicks. Lawson has a nice matchup against Brandon Jennings and should do better than the 36 fantasy points he put up last night.

Steph Curry is the stud I want tonight in a game with a tight total and a big spread. He has put up 54 or more fantasy points in two of the last three games and has great averages against the Suns this season. He has torn them up for 22/9/11/2 in two games this season.

Shooting Guard

Courtney Lee had a huge game against the Mavericks last game taking 15 shots and making ten. He added five rebounds and four assists, which took him to 38 fantasy points. As long as Tony Allen is out tonight, I like him to do well against the Hawks with his low $4,100 price on DraftKings.

Kyle Singler is another cheap option that I like tonight, but only if he starts and only if you are using him to get a big boy in your lineup. He had a nice game last night, but don’t expect two blocks and three steals tonight. He has received 32+ minutes in four straight games and should see the same tonight against the Nuggets.

Small Forward

Draymond Green is the last value guy I’ll give you, so bare with me. David Lee should be out tonight, so Green should see heavy minutes. He played 27 minutes in his last game filling that stat sheet with nine points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. For $3,200 on DraftKings, you can’t go wrong with him against the Suns tonight.

Josh Smith is one of those players you want when he’s hot and you stay far far away when he’s not. Well, he’s hot right now and has had two huge games in a row. In those two games, Smith has put up 48 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 steals, and 5 blocks. Smith is doing it all and is going to be a part of a high scoring game against Denver.

Power Forward

Terrence Jones had a huge game against the Bucks earlier this season scoring 36 points while bringing down 11 rebounds. While I’m not a fan of taking too many guys from this game, I am a fan of Jones. He has scored 15 points and has had five rebounds in each of his last four games.

Zach Randolph and any big man against the Hawks should be considered every night. Z-Bo has been great coming up short one rebound or he’d have a four game double double streak. Paul Millsap will be playing tonight, but won’t be 100%. Look for Randolph to be one of the best players on the court in Atlanta tonight.

Center

Andre Drummond does two things and he does them very well. He scores and he rebounds. There’s no way around it and he’s very consistent with it. Drummond has 37+ fantasy points in five straight games due to his five straight double doubles. It’s hard not to like him tonight against the Nuggets when he’s averaging 43 fantasy points in his last five games.

Besides one game in his last five, Al Jefferson has been one of the best players in the NBA lately. In those four games that he played dominant, he has recorded at least 30 points and ten rebounds in each of them. The guy is en fuego! Against the Spurs, he should continue his hot streak.
