Fantasy Basketball Daily Fix: NBA DFS Plays for March 1st

Saturday give us nine games in tonight’s DFS action, so we have plenty of action to choose from. Nobody wants to waste away the day reading about super split stats for players, so I’m going to make this real easy on everyone. Here are today’s DraftKings plays for tonight.

$8,000 – Max Salary

John Wall (PG – $9,500) is going to feast on the 76ers tonight and should easily hit 45 fantasy points. In 33 minutes per game against them, he’s averaging 42 points. I think he gets more than that even though a blowout could easily happen. He’s averaging 45 points in his last six games and he’s shooting 50% from the field.

$6,000 – $7,900

Rajon Rondo (PG – $7,000) is way underpriced tonight and I don’t care if he’s facing the Pacers. They aren’t good against point guards, but Rondo will see his assists probably be lower than usual because of his teammates matchups. He has 12+ shots in his last four games and has put up 31 points or more in each of those games.

Marc Gasol (C – $7,000) has a great matchup against the Cavs tonight and should be on triple double watch if you ask me. He has played 30+ minutes in four straight games and has two games of 43+ points during that time. He put up a line of 8/9/5/3/4 against the Cavs earlier this season.

DeAndre Jordan (C – $7,600) is red hot and always staying on the glass. He has 10+ rebounds in nine of his last ten games with eight double doubles. He has put up 39+ points in three straight games and part of that is because of the three blocks and two steals he’s averaging during that stretch. In two games against the Pelicans this season, he’s averaging 49-fantasy points with 18 rebounds.

Marcin Gortat (C – $7,000) has seen his price go up lately and with good reason. He had a huge game in 51 minutes against the Raptors two nights ago and has six straight games of 34+ points. This is because of his six straight double doubles. Tonight against the 76ers he has a great matchup and one that he has already dominated averaging 16/10/1/1/3 in three games this season.

$4,000 – $5,900

Evan Fournier (SG – $4,100) has seen big minutes because of Wilson Chandler’s injury and he’s done well with it. In his last six games, he’s averaging 14/5/3/1 and 27-fantasy points. Keep an eye on the Chandler injury to make sure he’ll get his minutes tonight.

Matt Barnes (SF – $4,300) has been playing starter minutes for a while, but it’s only recently that he’s worthy of DFS usage. He has 20+ fantasy points in four straight games and it’s because of his scoring. When he gets in the double digits he’s a lock for 20-fantasy points due to everything else he does. He’s averaging four rebounds, two assists, and one steal per game in his last four. Tonight against the Pelicans he should do well seeing as he has already put up 12/3/3 earlier this season against them.

The Rest

Aaron Brooks (PG – $3,900) is a guy that must be played tonight with his matchup, price, and recent production. He is facing off against Damian Lillard tonight who is not a good defender. He is under 4k and he has logged 28+ minutes in four straight games due to the Ty Lawson injury. Finally, he has 21+ fantasy points in four straight games as well.

The Knicks upgrade at the point guard position with the acquisition of Jose Calderon; who shot an impressive 45.6%-44.9%-82.5% this year, and has shot 41.1% from behind the arc in his career. In addition, they are adding some much needed youth (with upside) to the roster in Shane Larkin, and potentially with the two picks
