Wednesday’s DFS NBA 3/12

Wednesdays are always filled with games and tonight is no different. There are 11 games tonight and tons of action across all sites. I have nothing witty or knowledgeable to say here, so I’m getting right to the picks.

Guards

Chris Paul is the guy for me tonight. He has three straight double doubles with at least two steals. His matchup against the Warriors tonight should extend that streak to four, especially the way he has played against them this season. He’s averaging an amazing 34/2/13/4 in two games this season. He has averaged 34 points on just 20 field goals per game, but it’s his ability to get to the free throw line against them that has helped tremendously (23-24).

Isaiah Thomas was a guy that I wasn’t really on last night. He faired well (19/4/8/1), but didn’t do anything spectacular. Tonight against the 76ers he could easily do that. Earlier this season he went for 23/1/7, so you know he’s a safe option tonight. I wouldn’t over think this one on sites where he’s cheaper than usual.

Kyle Lowry plays the Pistons tonight, so of course I’m going to write about him. The guy has been posting ridiculous numbers lately with two almost triple doubles in a row while posting 20+ points. Lowry should own the Pistons like he did earlier in the season in just 33 minutes (21/5/9/1). Picking point guards against Detroit has worked lately, so I’m not going to shy away from it tonight.

Forwards

Thadeus Young faces the same team he owned earlier in the year, the Kings. In this game, he went for 28/7/4/6/1. Now, it’s unlikely he gets another six steals, but he does average two per game. Add those steals, a respectable amount of rebounds against a weaker big men group (besides DMC), and a recently hot scorer (17+ in 7 of last 8) and I think you have a great play tonight.

DeMarcus Cousins is another player to think about tonight, but he comes with a high price tag. He has the sexy matchup of playing the 76ers, so look for almost everyone to be on him where he’s affordable. In just 28 minutes, he put up 33/14/2/2/1 against them this season. Those are phenomenal numbers and ones you can’t ignore. I like Paul as my expensive option, but if you can fit two or want to fade Paul then look DMC’s way.

PJ Tucker is suspended tonight or I’d be all over him tonight. DO NOT USE. Marcus Morris is projected to start in his place.

Centers

DeAndre Jordan is one of my favorite players in the league because of how consistent he is. He usually comes in at an above average price and always produces above average results. Because he doesn’t average more than just ten points per game, Jordan has limited upside. He does have that great consistency for cash games though. He has posted 12+ rebounds in five straight and has gone for 10+ in each of his last ten. He should fare very well tonight against the Warriors, a team he has averaged 17 rebounds per game in three contests.

Andrew Bogut has a nice matchup against the Clippers tonight even though I like Jordan as well. Jordan won’t get every rebound, and if someone on the Warriors does get the rebound it’ll probably be Bogut. In three games against the Clippers, he’s averaged 28 minutes, 14 points, and 12 rebounds. Those are very good numbers for limited action. This is why I’m not scared of him even though he played last night.
