2011 Fantasy Football, Week 4 Waiver Wire: Time To Claim Nate Washington, David Nelson

Just a few late speculative adds for your fantasy football needs. Remember, all adds depend on team needs and league format.

Matt Hasselbeck (TEN) – I know it’s only been three weeks, but he’s averaging more than 300 yards/game and has connected for five tuddies. Wait until waivers is over and stash him for the bye week.

Bernard Scott (CIN) – For the desperate owners out there, add Scott and hope that Cedric Benson makes more bad decisions! Worst case scenario: Benson will get suspended, you will probably sit Scott, but piss off the guy who owns Benson.

Kendall Hunter (SF) – Frank Gore just got paid. Therefore, he’s bound spend a significant amount of time on the sidelines. Hunter is the ‘cuff in Frisco.

Montario Hardesty (CLE) – Madden curse is real. If the Hillis owner was stupid enough not to believe it, and leave his ‘cuff on the wire, pounce.

Nate Washington (TEN) – Kenny Britt will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL & MCL in his knee. Nate Washington seems to be the likely beneficiary for fantasy football purposes. In Sunday’s victory of the Broncos, Washington reeled in eight passes for 92 yards and a touchdown.

Torrey Smith  (BAL) – The former second round pick from Maryland torched the Rams secondary in week three. Smith caught six passes for 152 yards and three touchdowns. I’m okay with burning my #1 waiver in PPR formats if you lack depth (like Brett suggests here), but in standard scoring, I’m holding #1. Keep an eye on his hammy throughout the week.

David Nelson (BUF) – Seems to be the 1a in Buffalo with just three less targets than Stevie Johnson. Burning my #1 on him if I need a WR.

Denarious Moore (OAK) – The Raiders are finding creative ways to get Moore involved in the offense. Jacoby Ford should be healthy soon, so expect a dip in Moore’s touches. However, with more speed on the field, look for each of Moore’s touches to be a bit more meaningful.

Todd Heap – (ARI) – Kevin Kolb targeted the former Raven tight end ten times. He reeled in five passes for 64 yards, but failed to find the end zone. Chemistry seems to be improving in the desert.
