If you thought the pitching waiver wire had gone empty, look again. 

You will probably find Collin McHugh, who made his debut for the Mets on Thursday and tossed seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts. 

J.A. Happ is probably there too and he gave up one in seven innings for Toronto. Alex Cobb might even be available, but snag him after a four-hit shutout with eight strikeouts for the Rays. 

Barry Zito is always unpredictable and tough to trust, but he threw eight scoreless innings before giving up two in the ninth. 

Those guys were all better than two of the NL's best who faced off. Cole Hamels gave up three runs in six innings while Johnny Cueto gave up two in five. 

Roy Oswalt may be on the waiver wire and he is starting to look better, as he gave up three earned runs in 5 1/3 innings pitched. 

Tyson Ross is likely available as well, but you may want to wait. Making his first appearance for Oakland in two months, Ross gave up five runs in six innings, but he is likely to stay in the rotation for a while because of the loss of Bartolo Colon. 
If you need some free-agent hitters, check out Houston's outfield. Ben Francisco had three hits while former uber prospect Fernando Martinez had two hits and two runs scored. 

Stephen Drew is now available in AL leagues after getting traded to Oakland and he had two hits for the A's. Jeff Keppinger is another guy who keeps finding playing time and had two hits for Tampa. 

Domonic Brown continues to improve for Philly as he two hits and two runs scored. 

Evan Longoria also had two hits for Tampa while St. Louis good big days from David Freese, with three hits and four RBIs, and Allan Craig, who had three hits and three RBIs. 

Detroit ace Justin Verlander was good, allowing two runs in nine innings, but didn't get the win as the game went to extra innings. Detroit got a scare when Miguel Cabrera left with an ankle injury, but he is expected back Friday. 

Boston and the Angels put on one of the more entertaining games of the year before the Angels finally won 14-13. Los Angeles trailed 6-0 and later 11-9 entering the ninth before scoring three runs. 

It was one of those days you wished you stacked the Angels in daily fantasy even without Albert Pujols. Erick Aybar, Chris Iannetta, Mike Trout, and Torii Hunter had three hits apiece. Pedro Ciriaco and Dustin Pedroia had four hits apiece for the Red Sox. 

Alfredo Aceves not only blew a save, he blew up his fantasy owners’ ERA with five earned in one inning of relief. C.J. Wilson gave up six runs in five innings for L.A.

Adrian Beltre continued his hot week with another homer among his three hits. Josh Hamilton had five RBIs for the Rangers. 

There's not a lot of aces going today, so it should be a lot of offense in daily fantasy leagues. I like Starlin Castro against the Rockies and David Wright against the Astros.
