A lot more went down in week 10, but the important stuff (for you fantasy folk), might just trickle down to my five favorite waiver wire adds below. There’s more to think about than just the waiver wire, but with the fantasy playoffs staring you in the face, it’s a great place to start:

Nick Foles | QB | Philadelphia Eagles (Available in 97% of leagues)

Foles looked solid in relief of Michael Vick (concussion), and Vick could be done as the starter with the Eagles now an embarrassing 3-6. Even if that’s not the case just yet, his head injury could cause him to miss a tasty week 11 matchup with a weak Redskins pass defense.

Chris Ivory | RB | New Orleans Saints (90%)

The touches might be less than what you desire, but make that two weeks in a row Mr. Ivory has gotten the job done. He might only be a concrete Flex, but he has RB2 potential if he sees his role increase. His value continues to rise with a date against a weak Raiders defense in week 11.

Donald Jones | WR | Buffalo Bills (92%)

Jones doesn’t jump off the page as a big-time baller, but he actually has at least six catches or a touchdown in each of his last three games. No David Nelson (on IR) and a banged up Stevie Johnson help make that possible. Jones is settling is as a solid WR3 with the right matchup, and a leaky Miami pass D makes him likely to continue his roll in week 11.

Danario Alexander | WR | San Diego Chargers (97%)

I was on the fence on Alexander after his 61-yard performance last week. After a healthy Robert Meachem was back in the fold and Alexander still put up 134 yards and a touchdown in week 10, now I’m not. He’s a hit or miss guy in some respects, but it’s clear he has better chemistry with Philip Rivers than Meachem does. Consider him a solid WR3 with high upside moving forward.

Brandon Myers | TE | Oakland Raiders (59%)

Myers is probably running out of waiver wire eligibility, but we’re running out of solid tight ends available in more than 51% of leagues (which is the limit for my waiver wire plugs). He shouldn’t be, though, as he continues to be a PPR demon, at the minimum. Myers now has at least five receptions in six games in 2012.
