However, that may change soon. Trent Richardson looks healthy and ready to become an RB1 and Doug Martin is coming along too. Receivers like Chris Givens and Ryan Broyles are starting to get opportunities and T.Y. Hilton may be next.

Midway through the year, here are my top five rookie quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers going forward. These rankings are projecting how I rank these guys for the final nine games of the year, not a review of their first eight.
 
Quarterback

Robert Griffin III: Not just the most valuable rookie in fantasy football, but maybe the most valuable player in all of fantasy football. Currently, the highest-scoring player in many different formats.

Andrew Luck: Fiveteen or more fantasy points in five of the past seven games and a favorable schedule ahead including Jacksonville, New England, Buffalo, Kansas CIty, and Jacksonville.

Brandon Weeden: Double digits in four straight weeks before last week’s stinker.

Russell Wilson: Too inconsistent for me, plus still has a bye and games against tough defenses like Miami, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Ryan Tannehill: Been rotating good games and bad games and now he's hurt, so this is only a desperate play. 

Running back

Trent Richardson: The yardage isn’t always there as he’s had four games with at least 12 carries and less than 50 yards, but six touchdowns and 209 receiving yards help cover that up.

Alfred Morris: The last of 21 running backs drafted this year has at least 47 yards rushing in each game and double digits in fantasy points in six of eight games.

Doug Martin: His carries and rushing yards have increased in each of the past four weeks.

Daryl Richardson: A hunch here, but I think the Rams are going to continue to give him more and more of Steven Jackson’s workload each week.

Vick Ballard: Return of Donald Brown realistically kills his fantasy value. 

Wide Receivers

Kendall Wright: He has shown signs of productivity with decent production each game although nothing spectacular, but I think he gets even better down the stretch.

Chris Givens: Return of Danny Amendola may take away playing time, but Givens is all about the big plays and he should still get one of those per game. Only 10 catches in last four games, but got 272 yards and two scores while scoring at least eight fantasy points per week.

Justin Blackmon: I know, I know, major disappointment so far, but in season going nowhere, I at least expect Jacksonville to see what they have in him down the stretch.
