2016 Fantasy Football, Week 11 Gold Mine: Green, Goff and Sharpe

In this quick hitter, Eric lends a hand for those fantasy football owners looking for a hail mary in week 11. Each of the following players are available in more than 75% of Yahoo! leagues at the time of this writing.

Tight End: Ladarius Green | Steelers

Just getting back from pre-season ankle surgery Green only played 16% of snaps against the Cowboys, but could see that number raise against the winless Cleveland Browns. This is a huge dart we’re throwing here, all we can hope for is that it lands on the bullseye. The Browns have been the worst at defending Tight Ends all season, giving up the most points to that position. They have played better recently thought, but still, they are the Browns. Ladarius did great in the games he got to play last season with the Chargers, the Steelers signed him hoping he could be the same thing. Now lets hope that he works out for you daredevils out there who are desperate for a TE.

Quarterback: Jared Goff | Rams

This number is a little skewed because it was just announced yesterday that he was starting, so this number will slowly rise throughout the week, currently he is owned in only 3% of yahoo leagues. If you play in a 2 QB league or even a deep league where your QB is on bye, Goff could be the key to your win. There’s just no way this guy can be worse than Case Keenum, if he is, then the Rams made a huge mistake. The one good thing here is that, his first game is at home, also it is against a Miami defense that has been inconsistent all season. So if you’re looking for a long shot at QB, Goff is your man. Just be sure that this isn’t your rest of season starter, or else your fantasy team could be in trouble.

Wide Receiver: Tajae Sharpe | Titans

The Titans are currently rolling, and Tajae Sharpe is a big reason for that. They still don’t have that go-to receiver, but Sharpe is looking more and more like that every game. Owned in only 11% of yahoo leagues, the odds are that this guy is available in your league, unless you play in the deepest of deep league. Playing the second worst ranked pass defense in the entire league, in terms of total yards allowed and as ranked by DVOA, Sharpe has a huge chance for the biggest game of his young career. Let’s hope that he doesn’t disappear and is a little more sharp than usual this week against the Colts. If you have Brandon Marshall, or one of the Broncos receivers and are in need a one week flier who could turn into a solid roster spot, Sharpe can be your man.
