Today’s NBA daily fix features a couple players at each position that I highly recommend for today’s 7-game NBA slate on DraftKings. In addition to the two player breakdowns per position, I’ll add a few cheap risk options and tell you which ballers I am fading (not using) tonight. At the end I will list the top-5 players I’ll be using at each position in cash games tonight. Remember that this is written up in advance of any starting lineup or most inactive updates. Be sure to keep your eyes on Twitter and/or Rotoworld for updates that could change things in a big way. Good luck to you all and let’s get money tonight!

Point Guards:

Kyrie Irving ($9100) – Regardless if LeBron returns tonight or not, Kyrie is a scoring phenom and has a really favorable matchup against a Suns team that is 27th against point guards. Goran Dragic will have his hands full all night trying to slow down Irving who will be in all out attack mode after the let down game on Sunday against the Kings. Kyrie hits value and then some tonight.

Mo Williams ($5400) – Check this, 35 – 32 – 49 – 25, that’s Mo’s DK points the past four games and tonight he faces the subpar point guard group of the Indiana Pacers. Mo should have no problem getting open looks and also pitching in a handful of assists, boards and treys plus a steal or three. He’s a real solid mid-level option at PG or G tonight.

Cheap risk plays: C.J. Watson ($4800) will start for the Pacers again with George Hill already ruled out, so Watson will see around 30 minutes and doesn’t have a lot of upside but should get 20-25 DK points. Dennis Schroder ($3300) is a definite risk play but with the Hawks highly expected to blow the Sixers out, he could easily deliver well above value in garbage time.

PGs I’m fading tonight: Michael Carter-Williams, Rajon Rondo and Goran Dragic

Shooting Guards:

Dwyane Wade ($8800) – I am paying up at shooting guard tonight because there’s simply not many options that I feel good about at all outside the top few, and even some of those are iffy. Wade looked fully healthy on Sunday and had a really nice game. He should do the same against the Lakers tonight. Wayne Ellington and Nick Young will be assigned to defending one of the best SGs of all-time, so yeah, big game ahead.

Klay Thompson ($7200) – The Week 11 Western Conference player of the week should be able to take full advantage of the matchup against Joe Inglis and “the other” Millsap tonight. Klay should see a lot of good looks from the outside when Inglis is on him and will likely bully around Millsap when it’s his turn. Get an easy 35+ DK points from the hot handed splash brother.

Cheap risk plays: Kyle Korver ($5000) is a really good NBA player but his game doesn’t really translate well to DFS most nights. If you want to go cheap at SG, he’s one of the guys who is at a good price point and is facing the Sixers who give up the second most three-pointers in the league, which happens to be his forte. Korver’s floor is 20 and upside is low 30s. Wayne Ellington ($3700) and Elijah Millsap ($3400) are both punt options tonight who could get you around 20 but nothing safe there hence the cheap pricing.

SGs I’m fading: Kobe Bryant and Bradley Beal

Small Forwards:

Rudy Gay ($8200) – In a game with a healthy 211 over/under, I like to have my hands on the scorers and Rudy is definitely one I want in this game. Rudy has a good history going against Chandler Parsons and showed that once again in November when he went off on the Mavs for 49 DK points. Look for more of the same tonight.

Wesley Johnson ($4000) – If I’m not paying up for Rudy or Draymond Green, then I’m going the cheap route at small forward tonight, likely with Johnson. Wes should continue to see over 27 minutes and his ability to score, hit threes and add a steal and block on most occasions makes him a reliable punt option at this price. I’d expect around 25 DK points from Wes, which at his price I am more than fine with.

Cheap risk plays: C.J. Miles ($4900) and Solomon Hill ($4100) will at least assure you that your cheap play is going to play 30 minutes and often times with cheaper plays that’s all you can hope for is minutes of opportunity. Miles relies heavily on his scoring and triples while Hill pitches in a little everywhere. I prefer Hill tonight and saving the $800, but if Stuckey misses the game Miles will be taking a lot of shots.

SFs I’m fading: Gordon Hayward, Andrew Wiggins (takes half his shots at the rim aka Hibbert territory), Chandler Parsons and Luol Deng.

Power Forwards:

Dirk Nowitzki ($6600) – I told you I’m wanting the scorers in this matchup with the high score expectancy, and Dirk should decimate the inferior power forwards of the Kings all night long. I like this price point a lot for Dirk when he basically delivers at least 30 DK points a night. With the advantage he’ll have on offense, he could easily shoot his way into the 40s.

Nerlens Noel ($4800) – The rookie big man has put up 25-27 DK points in four of the Sixers last five games without having very good nightly lines. He seems to rebound well when he doesn’t score and score well when he doesn’t grab many boards but always gets his 2+ blocks. If you are thinking of rolling out Boogie Cousins and pairing him with another top-level priced player (Curry, Irving, etc..) then you’ll need some value gamble plays like this one.

Cheap risk plays: With Shabazz out (and Dieng questionable), Anthony Bennett ($3200) should see some extra minutes and he’s actually played over 20 three straight games. Two of those games he went off for 27 and 29 DK points and the last game he only put up 13. Pretty good low price risk, high reward option.

PFs I’m fading: No true fades here but I doubt I’ll own much if any Kevin Love, Tim Duncan or Markieff Morris.

Centers:

DeMarcus Cousins ($11,000) – Do I need to expand here? Dude, is just on another level right now. Scoring 54 – 66 – 65 in his last three, and he’s got a stupidly high floor even in a reasonably tough matchup against Tyson Chandler and the Mavs. My gut is telling me to fade him today and go Bosh saving $2.5k, but his recent monstrous play is too fresh in my mind to do it in primary lineups. I will have some GPP lineups without DMC though, just to play against the percentages some.

Hassan Whiteside ($5700) – Whiteside is on a roll as his role in the Heat rotation expands by the game. They’ve already determined that Hassan will come off the bench to start the game but will start the second half. He matches up really well against a weak group of Lakers big men and should compile a lot of boards and blocks. His price has jumped a good bit but it’s not scaring me off, he’s still a nice value with this smallish slate and matchup.

Cheap risk plays: Alex Len ($4400) has delivered 29, 30, 26 and 36 DK points over the Suns last four games and should continue his solid play against the Cavs tonight. Timofey Mozgov ($4900) will be a popular play and he’s a decent cheap risk option, but I wouldn’t expect him to go for 30+ again like his previous game.

Cs I’m fading: Gorgui Dieng and Al Horford
