Tim Lincecum continues to struggle to get wins, this time being out-dueled by Jason Marquis. Marquis was on fire last night pitching a complete game 5-hitter against the Giants. Marquis is now 3-0 while Lincecum is 2-3.

Ryan Howard did his best impression of Ben Zobrist’s performance a day earlier. The Philly Big Boy hit 2 home runs for 6 RBIs to take the lead in the majors with 27 RBI total. Howard’s homers helped secure a win for the rookie Vance Worley (6 IP, 2 H, 0 R) who is filling in for Joe Blanton in his absence. Take a look at Worley in deeper leagues as he should be able to get at least another start or two before Blanton’s return.

The Indians keep on friggin winning and are now tied with the Phillies for the best record (17-8) in the league. Wowza!

Carlos Santana two home runs in the past two games have been his only bright spot as of late. Santana is hitting .195 for the season. It could be a good time to make a trade offer with the small signs of power this week.

David Price got knocked around like a rag doll by the Angels, giving up 5 runs and 12 hits in 4.1 IP. Price is 3-3 on the year.
